Springfield-area residents will have numerous opportunities to see the iconic Budweiser Clydesdales, both at the Illinois State Fair and several special appearances.
Springfield is one of the stops on a cross-country tour to celebrate 15 years of partnership between Budweiser and Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization that provides families of fallen or disabled U.S. service members and first responders with educational scholarships.
The full Clydesdale hitch will appear in the Veterans Parade at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10; the First Responders’ Parade at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15; and will parade through the fairgrounds at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16.
Each event will include a Folds of Honor check presentation to a representative from the organization.
The Clydesdales will be stabling across from the fair grandstand and will be available until 9 p.m. daily for public viewing. In addition, they will be making additional appearances around the Springfield area:
